4. PTK Graduation regalia: you can rent the PTK Stole, Cord, and Tassel from our advisor, Prof. Itnyre. To do so, you have to give a deposit of $20. And once graduation is over, you have to return the Stole and Cord, preferably immediately after the ceremony, to get your $20 back. You can keep the tassel. If you’d like your own set, you can purchase the regalia online at PTK.org. Other PTK merchandise is also available online.
5. Reported that he spoke to Greg Brown about the possibility of placing the PTK seal on members’ transcripts. Unfortunately, his response has not changed from previous attempts. It is still not allowed, apparently due to PTK being as an extracurricular activity, in that it is optional to join. It is a baffling response, because qualifications for membership represent academic distinction. Further attempts will be made next semester by the new cabinet.
6. Reported that he filled out the Five Star Development Program online, which now indicates that we are already a three-star chapter. Our chapter is well on our way to once again attaining five-star status. (more…)
